DOVER --Pea Ridge prides itself on being a tough out, one through nine in its order.

It showed Saturday in the semifinals of the 4A North Regional Softball Tournament.

The bottom four in the order scored six of the team's nine runs to lead the way in a 9-2 victory against Lincoln at J.P. Lovelady Park.

"The bottom of our lineup has done well all year long for us," Pea Ridge coach Josh Reynolds said. "We've talked to them all year we need runners on for the top of the order. They've done that for us."

Dominique Burnwell led the way hitting seventh in the order for the Lady Blackhawks, finishing 4-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.

"We have some good hitters down there," Reynolds said. "It's so important because they are fighting for the top of the order. Sometimes they don't get enough credit. They do a good job for us."

Avery Dayberry hit eighth in the lineup while finishing 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Sixth-hole hitter Brittany Harmon finished 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Pea Ridge (27-3).

"They can hit," Lincoln coach Beau Collins said. "You have to have respect for everyone in their order. This is the fourth time we've played them. We know they got very good hitters."

Lincoln (15-14) was able to take a 1-0 lead to open the game when Hollie Webb was hit by a pitch, advanced on a pair of ground balls then was brought home by Lexington Dobbs.

But the Lady Wolves couldn't put much together at the plate after that against Lady Blackhawks starter Stephanie Chase, who allowed just five hits and two runs while striking out seven.

Pea Ridge was able to take a 7-1 lead after three innings by using a four-run second inning then following it with a three-run inning in the third.
